Sunday Style 17.10.21

Every week we pick our favourite new fashion, beauty and interiors arrivals from across the web for you. We do the trawling so you don't have to. Good morning and happy Sunday! It feels like weeks since I did last weeks edit. It's been a busy one. There's a lovely introduction of sparkle and sheen as we get that bit closer to the festive season. This edit is packed with lace, sequins and winter woolies. We're off galavanting this weekend so I hope you enjoy this edit in my absence :) Codex Beauty have 30% off sitewide this weekend this weekend so I've included them in the edit. Their oil cleanser is my favourite and I use at least one of their products daily so be sure to check them out. Any pieces marked with three asterisks have discount codes for them over on the shop link on my Instagram account. I love to include and support small and Independent Irish businesses and many of them have very generously given me discount codes for you all. Sunday Style 10.10.21

Every week we pick our favourite new fashion, beauty and interiors arrivals from across the web for you. We do the trawling so you don't have to. Good morning and happy Sunday! Stripes and prints are the order of the day for this weekend's Sunday Style Edit. Whilst I'm a big fan of neutrals I do think injections of colour are great to lift complexions in the cooler and darker months. Case in point the beautiful Laura Chambers striped scarf. What a perfect addition to your accessories collection. Made of the softest cashmere, this piece will become a wardrobe go-to in and would make a great a gift also. I'm so delighted to include Laura De Barra's new book, "Decor Galore", in this edit. If you don't already own a copy of her first book-Gaff Goddess, I couldn't recommend it more. It's a She-IY bible! Also included in this week's edit are beautiful coats and cosy knitwear along with lots of other wardrobe investments. I know you're all going to love the bow adorned, striped top too! Every week we pick our favourite new fashion, beauty and interiors arrivals from across the web for you. We do the trawling so you don't have to. Good morning and happy Sunday! We've had a very busy few weeks so this edit is a little more concise than usual. Don't worry though, it may be small buy it is mighty! As Christmas approaches and people are starting their gift shopping, I have included gift ideas from small Irish businesses. There are some beautiful bright knits form a wonderful small Irish knitwear brand that I recently discovered called Miss She Got Knits. Also included are some dresses to consider for party season, great Winter coats, party shoes, and boots and lots of great wardrobe investments too. I also wanted to mention New Moon Blooms who are a terrific Irish flower company that I've used on more than once occasion. Their bouquets really are outstanding. With both fresh and dried flowers on offer, there really is something for everyone. Their colours are incredible! They have lots of different options and one of my favourite is the Zodiac option (which I've included in this edit) Every month they pick a selection of flowers pertinent to that month hat you send to a loved one (or indeed yourself) for their birthday. How clever! Any pieces marked with three asterisks have discount codes for them over on the shop link on my Instagram account. I love to include and support small and Independent Irish businesses and many of them have very generously given me discount codes for you all. Every week we pick our favourite new fashion, beauty and interiors arrivals from across the web for you. We do the trawling so you don't have to. Good morning and happy Sunday! Some last minute additions to this edit make it a very, very good one! SPACE NK currently have 20% off makeup including Charlotte Tilbury which is never reduced anywhere! Stock is limited so I recommend rushing there and clicking buy on the items while they're still available. They have said that stock is literally flying out so click and buy quickly. I've treated myself to a few new items as my makeup armoire was in dire need of a refresh for the Autumn. Knitwear and Irish designers get a lot of love this week as do coats and jackets. Laura Chambers Cashmere is one of my absolute favourite knitwear designers and she just launched her new season collection yesterday. It is a divine colour explosion! I've also managed to source another tulle skirt for you all as I know a lot of you were disappointed when the one I included a few weeks ago sold out very quickly. I'm delighted to say this one is from Irish boutique Ollie And Mac which is an institution and a real treasure trove too! Every week we pick our favourite new fashion, beauty and interiors arrivals from across the web for you. We do the trawling so you don't have to. Good morning and happy Sunday! Ooh this is edit is a good one! I find myself so excited by all the new season arrivals this year. I guess we are actually venturing out and have reasons to get dressed up this year. Carpe Diem I say-I have some absolute gems for you all this week-this edit is rich with Autumnal shades and of course lots of neutrals and black because (as we learned on Instagram polls during the week!) that is what most of us love! There are elements of the 70's trend that we have seen emerging this year along with a nod to the 90's in the form of minimalism. As always I have included some beauty and interiors pieces. See if you can spot my first nod to Christmas!? Any pieces marked with three asterisks have discount codes for them over on the shop link on my Instagram account. Style Series ~ Cropped Trousers 15.09.21

I was asked via my Instagram account to do a "how to style cropped trousers' edit. The person who requested the edit said that they find it very difficult as they love this style of trousers but don't wear heels. First off everyone can wear cropped trousers but as with all items of clothing, it is about dressing for your body type. With cropped trousers it is all about proportion and knowing your body type. Bare these stying tips below in mind and you wont go far wrong. I have also included some very useful imagery for you all. Besides a good fit, the leg width of the cropped trousers is the biggest factor when considering which style to buy. Because they are cut-off above the ankle they visually shorten your height which in turn can make you appear fuller-figured. The taller and slimmer you are, the more latitude you have to play with width. If you are petite, opt for a slim leg to avoid looking swamped. Wearing the same coloured top and trousers is best to elongate the body. Wear a cropped style that ends just at the ankle, any shorter and your body will appear cut off. Keep your top neat in shape and tucked in. If you prefer to keep your bum and thighs covered opt for a fitted capri style 7/8 style trousers, wear heels when possible then add a slightly longer top for a lovely layered look. Again I would suggest sticking within the same colour palette. A heel is great to elongate your shape but, if like the original person who messaged me, you tend not to wear heels, then wear a shoe in a similar colour to your outfit or a sleek lower boot with a wedge heel are great. The western style boots that are everywhere this season are your friend with a low block heel and pointed toe to give the illusion of a longer leg. Make sure there is no gap between where your trousers end and your boot begins. It's all about giving the illusion of longer legs. You'll find a comprehensive edit of new season cropped trousers and jeans below the infographs. As always, I have included pieces from small or independent Irish boutiques. They are all clearly marked. I love to support smaller businesses and you will find a list of discount codes for lots of small Irish businesses via the shop link on my Instagram Happy Shopping! School Run Edit 26.08.21

I was asked via my Instagram account to do a "School Run' edit. As the kids all head back to school everyone is after simple wardrobe pieces that will work hard for your lifestyle without breaking the bank. Obviously we want to like good too so my take on this request was to pick a selection of pieces that can be mixed and matched together to create effortless, casual outfits that look great. Clearly you don't need to be doing the "school run"; all the pieces I have picked are wardrobe pieces that will work for everyone when you want to look put together in an off-duty and chic kind of way. For example layer the striped top under the zip hoodie or denim shirt, turn the sleeves up for interest and pair it with either the faux leather trousers or jeans. Another look is one of the jersey dresses (all amazing value btw) worn with the leather jacket and converse. In the Winter wear tights and the fab leather ankle boots. Lastly try the leather trousers with converse and the fab longline khaki parka. Finish it off with the pick knit (khaki and pink are great together!) and add the gorgeous triangle scarf from Irish knitwear brand Electronic Sheep. The scarves are an investment but worth the money. I have mine for almost a decade now and it's still good as new and is always admired when I wear it. A top tip for giving an outfit an edge is to remember the 3 item rule. So rather than just a top and jeans, add a printed scarf or another layer (hoodie or jacket) for interest. This 3 item rule will never see you wrong, I promise! Accessories are your friend here too for making an outfit look "finished" and put together. As always, I am delighted to answer all your style or sourcing queries (looking for a specific piece and you can't find it, I'm your woman!) over on Instagram or via email here. I have picked predominantly neutral colours as they are timeless and for the most part neutrals pieces will always mix well together and cohesively for more outfit options. You can interchange the pieces that I have chosen for a similar piece in a colour that you like to wear. Any pieces marked with three asterisks have discount codes available over on my Instagram account too. You're welcome! :) Happy school run shopping :) Susanne x.

Self Care Edit 17.08.21

When I received a message over on Instagram suggesting an edit for frazzled mothers, I was excited at the prospect. It's been very rewarding to create an edit that is holistic in its end result and one that I know almost all of us are in need of. If the last two years has demonstrated anything to us, it is that we 'must' learn to take care of ourselves and our needs. Self care has become a popular umbrella term for this and this is what I have used as a starting point when creating this edit. Self care falls in to 6 areas- physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, personal and professional. It is not always possible to tend to all these areas all the time in our life but by even knowing the categories, it will help us all be a bit more aware about what we need. Try focusing on one area each day but assign ten minutes to the other areas. For example twenty minutes exercise every day plus ten minutes to the other sections would equate to seventy minutes in twenty four hours. Just try it. As a solo parent, I know how difficult it can be to prioritise yourself and your needs so don't think I am claiming to have figured this one out at all. I struggle hugely with this one too. I'm really hoping by writing this article that I may just find a balance and help you to do that same. I'd love you to let me know what you think of this edit and how you incorporated some self care in to your life over on Instagram. As always I am passionate about supporting small and independent Irish businesses so have included as many as possible in this edit. I wanted to give a special mention to The Headplan Company. I bought the Headplan a few months ago and find it such a clever and easy way to add structure to my day. They have just launched a Gratitude journal and I'm delighted to include that in this edit also. Gratitude has seen me through some very tough times. The brands founder Denise Kenny -Byrne is a breath of fresh air. A savvy business woman and one of my favourite accounts to follow on Instagram. I would highly recommend downloading The Headplan app also. There are lots of discount codes for you in the Shop section of my bio on Instagram. Hover on the photo to see the price and click through to view or buy. Happy self care shopping! Susanne x.
