I was asked on Instagram for outfits for travelling for work. Ordinarily I would recommend a smart leisure wear look but obviously that wouldn't cut it for a one day work trip. I have included this simple but
smart dress. It also comes in white. Add a simple lightweight neutral blazer (avoid linen as it will crease too much while travelling), and this look is perfect for travelling and a work meeting. Keep footwear lightweight to ensure the look remains balanced. Something like these metallic woven leather flats add interest to the look and will work with most off duty looks also.If you prefer a heel opt for a light colour or open toe to avoid the look becoming too heavy and imbalanced.
I was also asked what someone should wear for long distance travel. In this instance comfort is key. I like to look smart when travelling and always bring a light but large scarf that can double as a blanket if necessary. Additionally cashmere is your friend. This lightweight but cosy cashmere piece from Irish designer Laura Chambers comes in 8 colours and will ensure you look and feel great without taking up too much of that valuable space in your carry on. Avoid a bulky coat and wear flat comfortable shoes that can easily be slipped on and off~these much sought after Golden Goose trainers from beautiful Irish boutique Les Jumelles fit the bill perfectly.
