Maternity Wear Edit 10.08.22

Each week we pick our favourite new fashion, beauty and interiors arrivals from across the web for you. We do the trawling so you don't have to.

On Monday I opened my Instagram question box to see what you would like to see here next. Well it would appear that there is another mini baby boom under way as many of you requested a maternity wear edit and specifically many of asked for maternity wear that is suitable for work. I have complied a list of capsule pieces that will work hard for you throughout your pregnancy both in and out of work.

Firstly I would say that you do not need to invest heavily for your maternity wear wardrobe. As always it is a personal choice and my motto is "To Buy that You Can afford" whatever that may be. Buy a few key pieces that you can mix and match and then add a few pieces that make you feel great when you put them on. If you're expecting in Winter a good coat could be that piece. Accessories are also, as always, a simple and effective way to switch up any outfit, Scarves, jewellery and shoes can change the total look of any outfit. Of course there are many items from your non maternity wardrobe that will still work for you and sizing up in non-maternity clothing is always another simple option.

I lived in these super skinny and might I add super flattering jeans when I was pregnant. I bought three affordable jersey dresses and layered them with longline cardigans, tights and flat boots for the majority of the nine months.Depending on the dress code in your office you may be able to wear dark denim, a blazer and longline top. Wrap and empire line dresses (with a seam under the bust) are both very flattering also. Comfortable and breathable fabrics are also a must-I've included them all!
