Growing up, no day in Dublin was ever complete without a visit to Brown Thomas. The sense of elegance as you swing open the heavy black doors is as evocative now as it was then.

If you're anything like me you will peruse and dream the designer edits so that's what I chose to focus on today. and if you're very lucky work towards having that piece in your wardrobe forever. Saving up for something special that you adore makes it even more special. I love shopping like this- spotting an item and going back to gaze at it a hundred times before I decide "yes-that will be mine" I squirrel away a little every week for as long as needs be until I can walk through those beautiful heavy black doors and know that piece will be going home with me.
